One of the greatest mechanical effects built under the supervision of George Gibbs was the "Gauntlet" for the film First Knight.

A 100-foot long, 6-foot high series of walkways, swinging medicine balls, 6-foot long swords shooting up from below, swinging axes and trap doors.

All built from wood, with wooden gears and cogs, driven by master electronic motors. The Gauntlet was designed by George Gibbs and Johnathon Angel.
